Your Invitation to a Musical Evening

Upcoming Stage 5 Music Evening

This Monday night  (28/10/24) Stage 5 Music students are performing at the Stage 5 Music Evening. The Year 9/10 students will perform a diverse collection of genres including rock, funk, jazz, big band, and ballad. Vaageesh will play Black Magic famously performed by Jerry Lewis in the original Nutty Professor. Carmel will sing I’m Here from the musical production of The Color Purple. Imogen will sing her rendition of Ruth B’s If By Chance.

These performances are part of their final assessment task for the year. We invite you to come along and support the Stage 5 Music class.

The concert starts at 6pm sharp in the school hall.

Christmas Songs are Defrosting

In Term 4 on Wednesday mornings during service elective time our Senior Concert Band, Senior Stage Band, and Senior School Choir are busy rehearsing. What are they rehearsing for, you ask? Christmas! That’s right, they’re preparing for our Christmas events at the end of the year: Christmas Chapel in Week 8 and the Christmas Carols in Week 9. They’re dusting off all the old favourites and a few other surprises in preparation for the most wonderful time of the year!

Year 3 Music

Attention Year 3 parents. Very soon you child will be selecting an instrument to learn throughout Year 4. In the next few weeks students will have a chance to hear and even play a variety of instruments so they can decide. Instruments currently played by Year 4 include: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, percussion, violin, and cello. Get ready for the selecting!

God bless,
