Duke of Ed Students Embrace the Challenge
As we wrap up another exciting term, we take a moment to celebrate the incredible dedication and perseverance of our students participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Award. From Bronze to Gold, each participant has embraced the challenge, demonstrating commitment and resilience.

This year we have 30 students partaking in the Bronze Award. These students have been busy setting up their activities and have now begun logging their hours for each component of the program. Whether it’s engaging in physical activity, developing a new skill, or contributing to the community through volunteer service, these students are well on their way to achieving their goals. Their enthusiasm and determination have set a strong foundation for future success. We will check in with these students throughout the year, highlighting some of their successes.

A number of students have taken their commitment to the next level, advancing to the Silver Award. These students have shown a willingness to push themselves further by taking on this challenge. There are also a number of students who are nearing the completing of their Bronze Award from 2024, who will be beginning the Silver journey soon.

At the Gold level, our five participants have been working diligently to complete their final hours. With their service, skill, and physical recreation components nearing completion, they are now turning their attention to the final aspect of the Award: The Adventurous Journey. Planning for this challenge is well underway, and we look forward to hearing about their experiences as they take on this final step toward achieving the highest level of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
We commend all students for their hard work and dedication this term. The Duke of Edinburgh Award is not just about earning a certificate; it’s about personal growth, resilience, and making a difference in the community. Congratulations to all participants, and we look forward to seeing their continued progress in the coming terms!
God bless,
Mr Rohan Miller
