1 Peter 1:3b-4a: “…in his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade.”

Celebrating Easter
Junior School wrapped up the term with a vibrant Easter Hat Parade and Chapel service. students learned from the Bible about the new life that Jesus offers. As we admired the colourful hats decorated with butterflies, flowers, and baby chicks, we were reminded of the new life that Jesus brings.

God's Great Love for Us
The Bible tells us that everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s glory (Rom3v23), and that on our own, we cannot fix this problem. God loves and cares for his people so, he sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to live a perfect life here on earth (John3v16). Despite never having sinned, Jesus chose to die on the cross to pay the price for our sins. But death wasn’t the end—Jesus rose again! His death and resurrection bring new life to all who believe and trust in Him.

New Life in Christ
So, what does this new life mean for us? It means that for those who trust in Jesus our sins are forgiven, and we have a certain hope of heaven. We no longer live just for ourselves but live with God as our King. This new life brings us hope, grace, mercy, forgiveness, and the freedom to live knowing we have a loving Savior who is always with us and the sure promise of heaven.
Think of a baby chick hatching from an egg, a flower blooming from a bud, or a butterfly emerging from a cocoon—these are beautiful examples of new life. On Good Friday, Christians remember that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. His body was laid in a tomb, and a stone was rolled in front of it. But on Easter Sunday, some of Jesus’ friends went to the tomb and found it empty—Jesus was no longer dead, He was alive!
For those who trust in Jesus, the cross and the empty tomb assure us that we, too, can experience new life through Him.
This Easter, let’s celebrate the incredible new life that Jesus brings to all who trust in Him. In His great love for us, He has “given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

Term One Reflections
As Term One draws to a close, we celebrate a season of incredible experiences, powerful learning, cherished memories, and the hope-filled message of Easter. This time of year reminds us of the ultimate gift of new life in Jesus—a profound truth that remains central to everything we do here at the College.
Our chapels, lunchtime CRU groups and Christian Studies lessons have been a cornerstone of this journey, providing moments of praise, prayer, fun and learning about God’s unending love for his creation. The Easter Chapel was a great reflection of this, as students came together to commemorate Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection, embracing the promise of hope, new life and renewal.
This term has been packed with exciting activities that have strengthened our school community and brought joy to students and staff alike. From the Swimming Carnival that showcased our students’ determination, courage and house spirit, to the P&F’s dazzling Disco where our dance floor lit up with energy and laughter, it has been a term full of enthusiasm and fun. Stage One’s Farm Day and incursion was a wonderful opportunity for our younger students to tie their learning together and experience a small part of what farm life is like, while our Year 6 students created lasting memories during their Camp to Canberra, exploring the nation’s capital and our democratic history. The Athletics Carnival saw everyone giving their best efforts and cheering each other on, reminding us of the importance of persistence and encouragement.
One of the highlights of the term was the Easter Hat Parade, which combined creativity and celebration. It was such a joy to see students express themselves through their beautifully crafted hats, reminding us all of the central message that Jesus brings new life through his sacrificial death and resurrection.
As we head into the school holidays, let us take a moment to reflect on the blessings of this term—the friendships formed, the lessons learned, and the message of new life that continues to encourage and inspire us.
Wishing you all a safe, restful break and a blessed Easter filled with love and gratitude.
God bless,
Mr Luke Przydacz
