I am very pleased to share with you some of the highlights of the results of our Class of 2023. We are delighted for all 29 students who have done so well despite facing many challenges over the past three years. They have responded with a sense of courageous optimism, application to their studies and great tenacity, and can now approach their futures with many choices.
This year we had six students on the Distinguished Achievers List for scoring above 90 in at least one course:
Kimberly Thorson: Mathematics Advanced, Modern History, History Extension and French Beginners
Lauren Kaye: Business Studies and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
Daniel Johns: Business Studies
Lachlan Haack: Modern History
Tianyi Cui: Mathematics Advanced
Chloe Tippett: Mathematics Standard
Nearly 70% of the year group ranked in the top 30% of the state. Our strongest performing subjects were Business Studies, Chemistry, Community and Family Studies, English Standard, English Advanced, Information Processes and Technology, Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Standard 2, Modern History, History Extension, and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education.
While many students may not be strictly classified as ‘High Achievers’, we recognise and congratulate all students who produced their best possible results, whether this resulted in an ATAR of 65 or 95. We hope they can look back with pride on their academic effort and even more importantly, on the way they have conducted themselves throughout their schooling.
I am grateful to our staff who have worked with great skill and dedication to lead and support our students in their learning and the families who have been with them through it all. It is always important to remember that behind these impressive results is a young person who has worked hard with commitment to their studies and participated in a range of opportunities through their school years. We are extremely proud of the robust and resilient young adults who have graduated this year with the skills and character to pursue their interests in a range of professions.
May God bless each of our graduating students as they move forward, well equipped for the next steps in their lives.
Kind regards,
Naomi Wilkins
Principal
